Born: Staten Island; education: vocational technical training in auto mechanics at McKee High School; career: delivery driver for car parts, machinist apprentice, police officer in New York City Police Department; Emergency Medical Technician; 9/11: primary election duty, call over radio and mobilization, aid to injured man; sight of debris; sound of South Tower plane impact, rescue tactics, evacuation of North Tower, observations of civilian bravery and cooperation; sound and motion of South Tower collapse while in North Tower, narrow escape from North Tower, sensory distortion after collapse of North Tower, difficulty breathing, comparison to the aftermath of the 1984 eruption of Mount St. Helen's; post-9/11: trouble sleeping, reminiscence of missing friends and colleagues.
